Susan Eppes is corporate safety manager at Waste Connections.

Since 1992, she has served on ANSI Z245 series subcommittees as a representative of major waste and recycling companies and as a consultant. She is chair of the ANSI Z245 full committee, which develops standards applicable to all waste and recycling companies, and also chairs the ANSI Z245.41 and ANSI Z245.42 subcommittees. Those standards address safety requirements for facilities that process commingled recyclable materials and for waste transfer stations.

Susan is an expert in safety and health management and has more than 30 years of industry experience.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in safety engineering and a Master of Science in safety engineering from Texas A&M University.
